I remember when the original video with those women dancing in white came out in high school, hell I remember all the characters in the end. It really does make me feel old seeing all the actors who played those characters now aged, then again that is point of the song. Realizing you're old and your childhood is truly in the past and dead.

I'm kind of intermediate when it comes to understanding Spanish, I could definitely see and hear the emotion coming out of this song, all of which you described perfectly.
Throughout the video we see this cutout going through some things that deteriorate in quality, which can be a symbol of how nothing really stays the same and that everything once popular eventually decays and gets forgotten. Even the character based on the cutout realizes that things have changed when he comes to life and has his appearance changed, and he realizes it even more when seeing the people around him, and his former self in the casket. With the people accompanying the character in the end, he comes to terms with the fate of how things were now, which causes everyone there to close the old main character's eyes and close the casket after.
This song has a really powerful message behind it, and I would say that every everything about it from both the music and the video do a good job conveying it. Thank you for sharing this with us.

You got the meaning perfectly, the whole song is about how he has gotten old, his fire has faded and no one cares all his past accolades. Some of this is exaggerated on his part, he is still selling out arenas world wide and is considered one of the best Latin rappers in the world. The video though, which I believe he directed, does a great job of making him look like a fading star, whose years in front of him are fewer than those behind him. While he is a rapper, he actually went to school for film and has said he wants to direct a movie. I believe that the last four videos he has released were all directed by him. That is likely why this video feels so emotional and personal.
